  Yepei drying concentrates on solid waste treatment: sludge from municipal sewage, printing and dyeing, paper-making, electroplating, thermoelectric, paper-making, leather, chemical, pharmaceutical, soybean and distiller's grains. Sludge dryer can dry the material containing 50%-85% water at one time to the final water required by customers.
  As an indirect heating and drying equipment for sludge, disc dryer has been used in chemical industry, food industry and feed industry for decades. Now it has developed into a fairly mature drying process and has a very high share in the international market. The common characteristic of sludge incineration is to recycle energy. Sludge has a low calorific value and usually needs to be supplemented with auxiliary fuels. Therefore, a process with fewer auxiliary fuels should be designed, and fluidized bed technology is one of them. The main body of the disc dryer consists of a cylindrical shell and a set of discs running through the center. The disc group is hollow. Thermal medium flows through the disc and transfers heat indirectly to sludge. Sludge passes between the disc and the shell and receives heat from the disc and evaporates water. The vapor formed by the evaporation of sludge water gathers in the dome above the disc and is taken out of the dryer by a small amount of ventilation. The disc of disc dryer has two functions: one is that it provides enough heat transfer area for sludge; the other is that it rotates slowly. The small propeller on the disc drier drives sludge to flow in the specified direction and plays a good stirring role. The disc dryer utilizes the double-sided heat transfer of each disc to provide a large heat transfer area in a small space, which makes the disc dryer compact. The rotating frequency of the disc is adjustable and the rotating speed is about 5r/min, so the wear is very small. The disc surface is vertical to the axis, so its rotation does not affect the flow direction of sludge. There are some small blades on the edge of the disc of the disc dryer. These blades have a certain inclination, which can help the sludge flow in a directional direction and play a dual role in stirring. The shell is immovable, and it contains water vapor produced by sludge and sludge evaporation. The inner wall of the housing has a fixed scraper. The scraper is very long and extends to the gap between the discs to prevent large sludge from solidifying on the discs. Similar to the blades on the disk, the fixed scraper also acts as a stirring tool. 
  Comparing with other indirect drying equipment, the disc dryer has the advantages of large heat transfer area, good mixing effect, better evaporation and removal of moisture, and is a newly developed improved simple heating dryer. The rotary dryer is mainly composed of stator (shell), rotor (rotary disk) and driving device. The central shaft of the rotor is the bearing part of the drying turntable. It is a hollow shaft. All the turntables are welded on the hollow shaft. The disc dryer is driven by the edge of the rotating disc, and the sludge is evenly and slowly transported through the whole dryer, and dried by thermal contact with the rotating disc. In the drying process, hot steam condenses on the inner wall of the turntable chamber to form condensate water. Condensate water is directed to the central pipe through a pipe and finally to the dryer through an outlet tank. A scraper is arranged between each two turntables, and the scraper is fixed on the outer shell (stator). The scraper can loosen the sludge between discs and make the waste steam leave the sludge quickly. The heat transfer medium of dryer is usually saturated vapor of 0.2Mpa~0.6Mpa. Each rotary disc of the disc dryer is welded by two pairs of buckled discs. The inner cavity of the central axis is connected with all the inner cavities of the turntable. In order to improve the ruggedness of the turntable, the hollow turntable cavity is divided into many supporting rods, and the two ends of the supporting rod support the left and right discs. According to the different properties of the dried materials, the turntable can be made of low carbon steel, stainless steel or special alloy steel. A propeller/agitator is installed at the edge of the turntable. They have two functions: one is to propel the conveying material, the other is to mix the mixture material. The inclination angle of the propeller can be adjusted, and the inner chamber of the turntable can be fed into low-pressure steam, heat conducting oil or high-pressure hot water to transfer the heat required for drying products. 
  The disc dryer has the advantages of low oxygen content, low temperature and dust content, good safety, heat transfer on both sides of each vertical disc, large heat transfer area, compact structure, small size, few auxiliary equipment and simple system. The sludge inside the dryer is wet sludge. In order to prevent sludge from sticking to the disc, there is a fixed long scraper on the inner wall of the outer shell, which extends to the gap between the discs and plays the role of stirring sludge and cleaning the disc surface. The sludge on the disc will not overheat when it stops when heated by low-temperature heat source (<180 C). The auxiliary air needed is small, and the tail gas treatment equipment is small. The disc dryer can be used to stir sludge and clean the disc surface. It can be used in semi-drying process and full-drying process. It can use steam, heat conducting oil and other heat transfer media. The site environment is very good. 
  Disc dryer has now developed into a fairly mature drying process, and has a very high market share in the world. The technological process of sludge semi-drying incineration in disc dryer is as follows: the wet sludge entering the sludge treatment plant is fed into the sludge dryer by sludge pump, the sludge in the dryer is heated indirectly and evaporated water, the evaporated waste steam is condensed into liquid after treatment and discharged or incorporated into the sewage pipe network, the dried sludge is incinerated into the incinerator, and the sludge is incinerated. The high temperature flue gas is recovered by waste heat boiler, less coal and air preheater, then treated by tail gas purification device and discharged into the atmosphere through chimney. The heat energy recovered by the disc dryer generates steam or heat conducting oil. Steam or heat conducting oil is used as the heat source medium of the dryer to realize the effective utilization of heat.
